Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills required to develop a training plan for a dog/handler team; train dogs; and report and record the dog's progress.This unit outlines the performance standards for those working in a dog/handler team training dogs for response and control tasks or training a dog/handler team. The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to, particularly those related to the training and handling of dogs.A person undertaking this unit would usually work autonomously using support from mostly familiar resources. The role requires complex task organisation and application of moderate analytical skills. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
